This website is dedicated to a small private collection of Semenov Amursky, a Russian impressionist artist. Fedor Semenov Amursky was born on March 23rd, 1902, in Eastern Russia. In the 1920's he began studying and practicing art. From 1925 to 1930, he moved to Moscow to further extend his studies and artistic exposure. In 1933 he became board member of the Moscow Association of Artists. In the year of 1946, his work was ceased to be shown because it did not represent the Soviet standards of art. He was unable to show or sell any of his work.In 1967, the first exhibition of Semenov Amursky was presented at a Science & Physics institute. The last exhibition of his lifetime was in 1976 in Moscow. Fedor Semenov Amursky died in 1980. His wife, Elizabeth Ulyseava kept all his work. In 1984, a personal exhibiton of Semenov Amursky was presented in Moscow. Another exhibition of his work on portraits and faces was presented in Paris in 1988. In the year 2002, Moscow held an exhibiton of his landscape works. |
